Yet traditional animal farming already accounts for a large share of global emissions, while delivering only a small part of our nutritional needs*. As demand for meat rises, the need for credible, science-based alternatives becomes more urgent than ever.
FEASTS is a Horizon Europe-funded collaborative research project dedicated to building a knowledge base about cultured meat and seafood and their place in the food system. The team needed a clear and flexible visual identity that could communicate research outputs to a broad audience — from scientists to policymakers to the general public.
The approach
We focused on creating a design system that would be easy to use across many content formats and by multiple project partners. The key goal was flexibility, but always with structure. A clean, grid-based layout allowed content to stay visually coherent, even when adapted by different hands.
The SolutionAt the core of the system is a modular layout with defined areas for headlines, photography, and brand patterns. This structure made it simple to adapt posts to different contexts while maintaining consistency. We developed social media templates, profile graphics, a report layout, roll-up banner, and a leaflet — all designed with a modern, science-forward tone.
